Alfresco at dusk. The covered alfresco beside the entry, looking through the open stacker door to the dining table, lounge and kitchen.

Walk through the house

Explore every room in your browser, at your own pace. Take the stairs, step out to the alfresco, or switch to Orbit to see the whole house from outside. Lift off the roof or the first floor to look down into each storey like a doll's house, and follow the sun through any day of the year.

On a phone or tablet
Slide your left thumb to move. Drag anywhere else to look around.
On a computer
Click to start, then move with the W, A, S and D keys and look around with the mouse.

The 3D model is a 2.7 MB download. It runs best on a recent phone or computer.

For Mac

House Render

Version 1.0 7 November 2026 18.8 MB

The Mac app that made these renders. It includes the house model and opens straight into it. Walk around in real time, choose day, dusk or night, and let it ray trace your own still images.

What you need

  • A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). M3 and later Macs have hardware ray tracing. M1 and M2 Macs work too, but render more slowly.
  • macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It does not run on Intel Macs.

Installing it

Apple has checked (notarised) this app, so it installs like any other Mac app.

  1. Download the file and double-click it to open it.
  2. Drag House Render to the Applications folder.
  3. Open House Render. The first time, macOS asks if you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Select Open.

How this was made

From plans to pictures

  1. Plans and selections

We started with the contract drawings and our colour, tile and fitting selections.

  2. A 3D model

We built the house as a 3D model at true size, with every light fitting from the lighting plan in place.

  3. Path-traced renders

A path tracer follows how light moves through the model, so each room is lit the way its own fittings would light it.
